Question: Where is this kilt made?
Answer: In Califorinia, USA by hand.
Question: What is the kilt made of?
Answer: The kilt is made of 100% Lycra and is lightly lined.
Question: How do the kilts react to weather?
Answer: Our trial models have been worn in a heat wave in California and was cool, probably due to the light material. We have also worn one in a windy, snowy, winter storm (-10 (C)), and have only found the knees to get cool.
Question: Is it washable?
Answer: Yes, for the kilt hand wash is recommended (gentle cold cycle in machine works well too) and air dry. We find it takes about 3/4 hours of hanging to dry the kilt. The G-string and bikini can be washed and dried in the machine on the delicate cycle.
Question: Is this a real tartan?
Answert: Yes it is - please see the "History of the kilt" page concerning this
Question: Do you have any underwear?
Answer: Yes, for men only there are two options, a bikini or a G string, both in matching tartan. These can double as swimwear and are more durable as far as washing is concerned. (again delicate cycles recommended) Be advised that they are disigned for minimum coverage in the front which means they are very narrow but also extremely comfortable and seem to be a size smaller than normally used. eg: if you usually use small then try the medium.
Question: Do you have any accessories such as a sporran?
Answer: No. There are lots of very good sites that deal with all the genuine accessories and we are only concerned with the kilt and men's underwear at an affordable price.
